Help me out all you Import FD guys

Hi all,
 
I\'m after one of those really tiny rear fog lights that get put on import scoobys and the suchlike.....any ideas where I can pick one up because all the local motor factors keep trying to sell me one of those hideous great big lucas things........and being a stock 12a I need to do all the weight saving I can!:rolleyes:

You could just convert one of your reverse lights to a rear fog

Many people convert one of the reverse lights, as said above. Mines like that - it looks much neater.

am i right in thinking this a FB (gen 1) you have?
think i got mine of ebay they are not as large as the standard ones

The other option is to get a high level LED break light & ise that in the numberplate recess!!!

Just wack a big one on for the MOT and then take it off , I have mine wired into to the rear lights but used to do the above when I had the skyline.

Hi all,cheers for the feedback-you\'re right Mark it\'s for my FB-your lights look pretty neat so I\'ll scour ebay again although I think I\'ll definatly look into converting one of the reverse lights as that sounds like a sweet idea so cheers to all who suggested that!
 
Nick,that was my initial thought-glad I\'m not the only one with that type of thought process!!:Laugh  Trouble is I know for a fact that in the year between MOT\'s I would have lost the big light so every year I\'ll end up buying one and so it goes on so I\'d better just sort it now.
 
Anyway cheers all-if anyone has done the reverse light convertion on an FB then let me know.

Hi all-just an update really, I went ahead and converted one of the reverse lights to a fog light it\'s a ridiculously easy mod to do but am really glad to be shot of the awful dangly rubbish hanging off of the rear valance so thanks to Tim for letting me rob him of another lamp holder to save me chopping the existing reverse light one off, and thanks to my wife for the red glass paint so the bulb is now resplendent in Magenta. Looks a bit on the pink side but hey.....

except I used a P21W LED bulb from ebay. shines bright red.
