Quote from: Bobbiti\'m confused here? Why is the stated power 360bhp? What mods give it that much power?

Come on !! , you obviously didn\'t read the ad properly.  He\'s removed the rear view mirror, fitted a Ripspeed gearknob and a fast and furious pedal kit.
Dragon obviously got there tuning wrong, using these mods they could of achieved 1000hp

Official performance stats from Mazda put the 2001 RX-7 at 156mph.

That thing with the wing and all will be unlikely to break 160.

I\'ve done a number of properly timed VMax events with mine in various states of tune (from 90% standard to the current T70) and have achieved:

Twins, running seq: 154mph (260 rwhp)
Twins non-seq: 165mph
T70: 172mph (330 rwhp)

On all those runs it was still accellerating but very very slowly and, with unlimited road might have made 3 or 4 mph more.

This is shown by the difference in VMax with a rolling vs standing start.  Starting from the same place rolling at 70mph gives a 1mph difference in VMax over the 1.5 mile run!!!

WTS - Ecu Resistor mod anyone? $5

Not my taste tbh its tooo err as you say Maxpowerish! its for that market all show and no go. Well that would be been a contender for the Fastest Twin rx7 :Tongue1
I woof in your general direction.

You guys are forgeting one important thing here...... every sticker = +4mph on book speed ;) I know this as my hilux now does 130 & it\'s std with a 2.2 non turbo petrol!!!

Think some one should show him what a sorted rex runs like!!! The other thing...... how is he getting any cool air through the std IC?? that\'s probably why it blew up!!!

D1 WTF

i thought that the type X 3.9 diff was good for about 180 (+) am i wrong????

and dont get me wrong that is not saying anything about this car as with the added wait i dont think it could do 140mph.
IF YOU DIDN\'T CARE YOU WOULDN\'T BE LOOKING

carlos

i take it the owner is not on here.... wot a heap of crap!

scratchies

yer thats the old fuel car spoke to him sunday morning, it blow up doing burnouts and the amount of sound stuff it struggled to do 120mph coz i followed him to donnington park, or he couldnt see where he was going lol
mine done 13.3 1/4 mine 0/60 5.2 so theres no way on his specs

Rocho

Power = Standard 280bhp, at present around 360bhp
0-60mph = Standard 4.9 seconds, at present around 4.0 seconds
Top speed = Standard 180mph, at present around 190mph
Standing ¼ mile = 13.5 seconds, at present around 12.0 - 13.0 seconds

If you have spent serious amounts of time and money on a car you would have more respect for what you have done than to just make up a bunch of stupid numbers & claims. BTW the efini 0-60 time is 5.4sec? off top of my head not 4.9.

clandestine

Hes confused Kmh with Mph...

I can almost hear the owner now congratulating himself doing 50mph in a 30mph zone past the police without being stopped!

Obviously, the police were so impressed with the car that they didn\'t care!

olly-civic

this car lived in our workshop at fuel for over a year, its a scrapper and apart from a hard pipe kit on the std intercooler it looked pretty much standard

haha does anyone elses standard rex do 180mph!?

:burnout

I had 180mph on the clock out of mine once (and i mean once, i tried many other times too) when it had apexi filters and a racing beat back box and that was it.

rx jamie

yeah me too. only once but i was running 445bhp@fly lol and i actually got a speedo indicated 182mph on a seven mile straight.
