I am looking to get myself a new clutch, I am going to be uping the power soon and I think my clutch may well be too soft.

I am running t304s and am hoping for 320-380 rwhp when injectors and bits get fitted..........................

Which of the many clutches would suit my car best?. What is everybody running, and costs? How do they find them???????/

It needs to be useable and also handle the odd run up the strip......lol. I have a Kazz1.5 lsd diff brace and solid mounts to fit but was gonna do it all at once...........

Thanks All

There are a few things to think about first, like what would suit you best.

Do you buy a decent single plate Clutch which usaly means the Clutch Pedel is quite heavy and they tend to have more bite and in turn don\'t tend to last as long as the twin plates, but then they would properly better value for money.

Twin plates, well these are usaly quite expensive because they usaly come with the flywheel etc as a Kit, the up side is the peddle is quite light and from my experiance as long as you get the sprung pressure plate version drives better than the single, But the big down side is they rattle when you push the clutch down (makes you car sound tired).

As for which one?? well a mate of mine had a Xtreme single plate Clutch fitted (not 100% sure but i think it was done by REWorx) and he is running a good 400hp and never had a problem with it, i personal Like the ACT clutch because its a step down from the Xtreme (bit lighter on the peddle but the Xtreme feels more ON if you know what i mean). then i have driven two diffrent Twin plates OS and Exedy, the OS was an Unsprung clutch so was a bit on or off and you had to slip it to pull away slowly in traffic but the Exedy felt nearly stock (was quite a suprise) but did rattle quite alot.

I had an exedy hyper single(comes with flywheel as well) fitted to mine, was told it\'d hold 400+ at the wheel, light pedal pressure as well, much much lighter than the old exedy single i had :Thumbs-up

I\'ve got an OS twin plate, and yep, that describes it pretty well..  :Thumbs-up

It\'s quite heavy and is a pain to drive in traffic to be honest. Quite noisy too, when pushed in - its scrapes and grinds.. sounds crap to those who don\'t know what it is.

Its good though.  tough as old boots..

Well I\'m running 325 at the wheels on a stock clutch, drive it every day and managed a 12.5 at RS4... I\'ll be swapping to an Exedy Hyper I think.

Thanks for the information guys, I am now begining to understand it all a bit better.

Looking at Twin Plate:

So as long as I get the spring pressure plate, perhaps on the exedy, I may still have a good drive ability and slightly softer clutch pedal.........???

The last thing I want is a difficult clutch, kinda sounds like the twin may tick my boxes.................

Any other experiences......????

Any chance there\'s anyone up near you with an uprated clutch you can try?
