Have spent countless hours thinking of ways to get rid of boostcreeping since I was adviced by Knightsports and the like in Japan not to get a Race cat for the car.  I just recieved my FEED Midpipe (Thanks Newera) and I stumbled across this.

http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=520667

It sound\'s a bit too simple, but since many persons testify it works, I just have some more questions.

What does the restriction mean in reality, I mean. I am changeing my stock cat and downpipe to the feed items. And they apparently fit this flange behind the cat. So I should see an increase in both Respons and Power towards having the stock pieces in right?

And how much restriction do you think it does.. powerwise....

I am planning on either buying a set, or building one.. And then do a before and after dyno run as soon as I have mapped the car.

Thanks in advance!

Slightly off topic but why did Knight Sports etc. advise against a race cat?

chrno

Because alot of people in Europe has burnt their cat\'s since twe can\'t run as advanced timing (or just different maps) as they can in Japan. This results in very high exhaust temps wich burn the cat\'s

Interesting, I\'ll have to keep an eye on that as I\'ve got a Knight Sports Pro-200 cat fitted to mine.  No problems so far anyway.  Cheers

I assume that the reason for not being able to run the same maps is due to the lower fuel quality in Europe and the 100ron in Japan.  I know in the UK Shell V-Power is 99ron so is very close.  Whats the fuel rating like in Sweden?  Sorry for the thread hijack.:o

No problems, The fuel rating in Sweden is also 99 if you go for Vpower, wich I run. But the Fuel in Japan can be more than 100ron, and it\'s not just the ron value that is different so yes. That is the reason for the different map\'s, and possibly alot mor knowledge in the mapping itself...  I really wouldn\'t mind running a Knightsports metalit cat as that would eliminate all my concerns. But as they said I shouldn\'t buy one.. I have to look at something else..  If they for some reason change their oppinion I would be the first one to get a cat. :P

Grizzly: But that post isn\'t covering all the mod\'s I have on my car. Such as Vmount, filters, downpipe, midpipe, catback and so on..  And more about spiking than creeping. ?

Grizzly

Read the last post that Carl posted, he has not come across a set up (twins) that can\'t be controled by a PFC. maybe a PM to him????

But then my Profec B2 should be able aswell, or if not. I can just plug in the Stock solenoids again. :P    Still, there are so many persons talking about boostcreeping I find it just a little too good. But I am the first to be happy if that is the case.
