Strange smell and car only boosting to 0.4 bar

Not sure where to start looking on this.

I replaced a vac lead that was bust but the car only seems to want to boost to around 0.4 bar if I\'m lucky and there seems to be a burningish smell coming from somewhere that I can\'t track down.

Also not sure if the blow-off valve is working as the sound it\'s making is not what it used to be, almost as if it\'s forcing itself against something.

Ho hum, why don\'t these cars ever work properly

Any thoughts anyone?

Do yopu still have the stock cat catalyst? When they go they often create a strange smell and increase exhaust backpressure the car will not boost properly.

Nah, it\'s straight through now, SMB downpipe, Dragon silenced midpipe and SMB back section and box.

I get the smell inside the car. It quickly goes when the car stops which is making it hard to track.
