I\'m sure i had the details of a company in Cardiff before who specialized in Rx\'s :-( but can\'t find anything on them now.

Does anyone know who they are??

deanflowers

No there isnt anyone.

You maybe thinking Hyeline but i wouldnt use them again.

Closest for you in Carl at hayward in Newbury. See advert above.

Saying that what work are trying to get done?

Paul1982

Everything really - if something goes wrong with her and i can sort it then i want someone close to hand.

Well first thing is first - i need someone who can remap a Apexi on the Rollers

Yeah i took my MR2 to hyeline and the guy acted line he know everything and i was shocked at the things he was getting wrong lol

Paul1982

There is a company call Westec who have an Awesome rolling road (i\'ve used before) but i\'m not sure they can map the RX

TwistedHumour

Just remember, mapping a rotary is a lot different to mapping a car with pistons.

I\'ve got a quite a few friends who have been to Westec and they seem to get a varied response.  Stick to one of the well reputed rotary tuners and you won\'t go far wrong.

I live in Swansea and travel to WGT in Cheshire.  It\'s a 420 mile round trip and worth every penny!

Everyone ive spoken to who have been to hyeline have had a list of faults as long as their arm yet when they try to arrange someone to work on the car they never ring you back.

Ive been to westec but only for a dyno run, i don\'t think they know anything about the rotary and i don\'t think they work on apexi\'s.

its worth the extra miles to get these cars sorted properly, there are a few choices but unfortunately nowhere close by

Paul1982

So what sort of price do Hayward charge for a Mapping Session as by the looks of things they are the closest :-( (nothing wrong with them just i\'m around 100 miles away) Will end up costing me another £100 in fuel alone

Jono FD3

I\'m shure if you ask nicely, there is a young guy in bristol who would be willing to map you at a sensible fee!!!

Don\'t quote me on this...... but I think he\'s a bit like batman....... you know he\'s there, & very few people know him (if you know what I mean!!)!!

Garantee there are a few people around here who know who I\'m on about!!! He\'ll be at Rotorstock too so the jungle drums say!!!

Lol Who\'s this Guy Jono and how good is he?

Paul1982

Hi Guys,

Well i\'m new to this site and as you can see as i\'m asking loads of questions which are easiler answered.

What i\'d really love/need is for some one to help me out :Thumbs-up

Really need somebody who is sh*t hot with these engines to have a good look at what i have good under the bonnet.

The car did have an Apexi PFC before i bought it and there are mods already on the car - but not 100% sure what :-( most of it looks different to standard.

So it needs another Power FC (Apexi) then taken to Haywards to get remapped and set-up properly.

Haywards to me is 100miles (closest tuner around me by the looks of it) as i Live in the Caerphilly near Cardiff.

Reason why i need someone is that i dont wanna be wasting haywards time if i havent got a upgraded fuel pump or not big enough injectors etc etc.

I\'m looking for atleast 350bhp when all done so need some important advise for what I need!!!!

Please please please if somebody is free anytime soon who can help and dont mind coming down to the Cardiff area to help me please let me know!!!!!!!

I would just take it down to carls, he will sort it out and may have a second hand apexi, sometimes he advertises them. What year of car is it?

If its previously had one and now its doesnt i would be careful running it as it doesn\'t take many mods to cause problems.  I don\'t mind having a look under your bonnet but wont really be able to advise you that well.

From what ive always understood if its got more than an induction kit and an exhaust its worthwhile having a map. Is there a cat on it?

i\'m away no till monday so will catch up then

88GT-R

Come up to Rotorstock, if you can.

John

AtomicRex

Carl came and mapped my engine on the dyno at Castle Combe.....why dont you talk to him about coming over there?

Combe is about 25 miles from the M4/M5 junction.

Trust Carl...the years he has had will be worth it!

If you are worried about driving the car to the dyno, Im happy to come over to collect the car in the trailer?

Paul1982

Well the car has no Tax or MOT so it needs a trailer whatever happens - So AtomicRex i\'d be hugely appreciated if you could help me out.

I can\'t put it through an MOT till its running right as it overfueling as its smelling badly lol - Plus i think the CAT is on its way out. So as its a 1992 i think the emissions test is not needed.

AtomicRex

Email me, and we can sort out getting it over to Carls

Carl has an MOT tester next door to him, so getting a ticket wont be a problem! :D
