Thanks for looking, iv\'e got my car over someones garage pit, hired for the day! done drivers side mount,( i seem to have 2 drivers side mount rubbers!)but the passenger side looks different, bit of a mess! but looks like that side rubber is Bonded to the alloy mount, could someone confirm if  it is different Please.
Cheers Bob

Jit

its different
Youve got one ali leg and one steel leg.

Of the two rubbers you have, they are both identical and both interchangeable. However, to use the other rubber on the passenger side, you need to get hold of a steel leg. Im pretty sure the leg from the drivers side is interchangeable with the passenger side so any steel leg should be fine.
I have a pair of legs you can have for 50 quid if it helps

Yes, the steel leg is interchangeable (I have 2 on mine due to same problem). You need to try and get hold of a spare steel \'leg\', but they\'re rare as! They have cropped up on ebay a couple of times - it\'s where i got mine from.

About £180 brand new - hence the need for second hand!!

Can someone help me understand what these mounts look like? I think that Bob has my old rubbers, and it sounds like they are different to mine.

I have alloy arms on both sides. On both arms there are rubbers which are 50mm thick. They are attached to the arm with a stud on the rubber, and a stud on the other side of the rubber fits the crossmember.

To change mine, I just unbolted the rubber from each alloy arm, and bolted in a new one - easy!

Is this unusual?

Morning Keith, Thanks for the rubbers, the problem is that on mine  (93 FD )the passenger side is Bonded to the Alloy leg,but had split (parted altogether leaving a lump of rubber still stuck to the leg) The ones you have on yours sound like they are steel legs. where the rubber bolts on (much prefered legs and far better way IMO, ) yours may be a 92 model apparently they changed around that time, all done now thanks to Kev

Mines a 92 and has the alu leg with bonded rubber on. It\'s almost always the passenger side that goes. Oil is one of the main killers
