howstuffworks .com or somthing like that has a very good section on the rotary engine + lots of good links + recomendations for good reference books

Theres aslo a website called the illustrated rotary engine that was very very good but I can\'t find the link

As for books, I don\'t have any on rotary\'s alone but the Brian Longs book  RX7 mazda\'s rotary sports car is very good :)

I think its published by veloce but amazon is cheaper :D

i was just thinking, if want to know more about a rotary do you think it wood be a good learning experiance and possible to find a rotary engine which is blown for cheap, strip it and find out more that way???

Hi mate!

Yes - great idea, it really will show you how these things work.  It was one of my first introductions to the engine.

I purchased a dead engine from a friend of mine for $100 in Sydney about 12 years ago - I understood it so much more after that.

You could phone around some of the rotary workshops and get them to send you one, shouldn\'t cost you too much?
Thanks,

richrx

has anyone got nubers/links to workshops in the uk, in scotland if possible??or does anyone have a spare engine that i could buy.?
