had a water leak and found a pipe under the vac tank had split so replaced that been fine all day got home went in came out and it had a puddle under it, checked that pipe was ok and it was, and cant see where its comming from and cant get back up the the garage, its dripping off the **** tray so it could be from anywhere, is there a usual place or anything comon that causes a leak, im meant to be going to santa pod at 7pm !!!

Few places ive had leaks in the past. Back of the engine block right hand side small pipe that connects to the thottle body (this was me not putting it back on right!) 2nd was the waterpump its self driping :( eventualy the pump and gasket gave way. wouldnt hold water to save its life! was great looking at the rode when i drove it home after it dumped the water. was a nice thick line of water luckly it was like a 30 second drive so i was home and engine off before it managed drain enough!
I woof in your general direction.

There is a pipe to the left of the alternator. I found that leaked on mine. Also check the 2 pipes going to the turbo\'s. These get really hot being next to the turbo\'s

Could be coming from the small return coolant pipe from throttle body, and running down the block near the rear spark plugs. this is just to the left of the oil filter,

pipe next to that altornator and water pump, odd how they both went at once

Might be worth changing the ast cap. It is probably letting the system pressurise too much causing excess stress on the pipes.

Could also be the turbo coolant lines, mine went and they are a bit of a pig to get to :(

I pressure tested mine when I had leak that was dripping off the undertray making it hard to find.  Turned out to be a leak from where the plastic header is crimped on to the aluminium radiator (stock) core.

I can\'t believe mazda put  plastic tanks on a car that runs this hot. The first mod on these cars should be an alu rad along with all new silicone water pipes
