welding required on my fc

i had the car mot today and it requires some minor welding jobs done and a leaking power steering  unit .  to be fixed.
can any member in the Essex area recomend a welder?

do like i did - buy a welder and learn whilst welding the car up :D

what type of welder and equipment would you recommend?
88 gxlt US spec
86 egi UK spec

i used a mig welder from ebay and 1mm plate
