Where are the holes, exactly? Just on the rear portion?

You can get both aftermarket replacements for the rear portion and a genuine Mazda one. Neither seem to be cheap, and the installation isn\'t that cheap either - of course you can try yourself but keep in mind you\'ll have to cut out the opening for the rear window yourself...

I bought my soft top earlier this year from Kwik Tops in the USA web site http://www.kwiktops.com/store
Total cost with shipping and customs was about £250. I found it difficult to fit as no instructions were supplied and it seemed to need a lot of stretching. Delivery took about 2 weeks, but it is so much better than the old torn hood. Don\'t think I can post a picture as I am not a full club member. Best of luck, John

you wont believe how much I picked this car up for!!!!!
its been rebuilt 30 k ago, its been sat on a drive for 2 years in mint condition but full of tree sap which will t cut of, mint full leather and same owner for last 13 years, the hood is ripped to shreds from kids.
because its not run for 2 years, it wouldnt start so the guy took it to a back street garage who told him it was blown and would fetch scrap value!!!!
I give 100 quid for it, he just wanted it of his new drive which we just paved for him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
put some new plugs in her and it purs like a kitten:Giggle

To be honest I still cant believe it!!!!!!!!!
It shows that not many people really know the value of older rx7s even for spares!!!!

stuart wizy

and most garages are scared s@itless as soon as you mention rotary engine!!!

grinder

so is this gonna be a running car - or you gonna break it for spares ??

needs mot and new hood then im going to use it all summer, Ive got loads of tuning bits to go on it from my fc drag car - air filter, bov, straight through exaust, fcd, boost controler, nice alloys etc.
then if I like it, maybe get a nice medium sized turbo and microtech.
Ive never drove an fc cab, what they like???

grinder

how come the bits arent staying on the drag car ?????????????

and the cab - to be honest - i think they are GREAT !!!!!!!!!! - i drove the coupe for just over 3 yrs - but i love the cab with the roof down

even at 100+ its great with the roof down - only prob with mine is that its an auto - but even so - its superb for crusing round in :D :D

i dont drive the rex in the wet - so every time im out in the cab - the roof is down :D :D

even at 70 on the motorway in rain - i didnt get wet - i have to admit - i do like the cab

i might even try it with the roof up one day !!!!!!!!!!!!!

the bits are standard turbo blitz filter, bov, straight through exahust, fcd, older greddy boost controler, I dont need any of these for my drag fc because its running a microtech so dont need fcd and the exahust ive made for the drag car is a pipe running from turbo going under driver door less than 3 feet long and the bov is not big enough either.
I bought the drag fc with all these bits already on it so im just gonna pop them on the cab.
what sort of power should i expect with a straight through exahust, blitz filter, fcd and what boost can the std ecu cope with on my cab ???

grinder

i reckon with that set up  you should see 250 at the fly - which is about 50 more than stock

and its pretty much what i ran on the coupe

it pulled .9 bar all day long and the narrow band still showed it running really rich

its the turbo that usually cant support it - not the ecu

i picked up a tuned ECu off ebay for about £45 delivered - so you could keep an eye out for one of these - as that will add the right amount of fuel ??

is the cab stock - or did it come with any toys ??
