Easy one, thread size for the spped clip bolts?

Does anyone know the thread size for the speed clip bolts that hold the front spliter on?

I have some new speed clips (like C clip things with a captive nut) but just need the bolts that match up.

And when replacing any suggestions on how to protect them from turning into blobs of rust again? I was thinking loads of grease and waxoil them
