I want an RX-7 but I am 6\'3"!

Is there any forum memebers that are 6\'3" or over and have a 3rd gen RX-7?? I have been looking fr one for a while.. tried to sit in one for the first time yesterday and I couldn\'t get my foot onto the clutch pedal because it was wedged between the steering and handbrake!! is it possible to move the seat enough or am I stuck! I\'ll be gutted!

There is a mod for the seat runners if you do a search, may help.

Hi mate, I\'m 6\'2" and I only just fit!!! you could try a rx with a steering wheel with a flat bottom or I believe some of the bigger guys on here have moved the seats rails back... I reckon that 6\'3" is about the max though!

I\'m sure there are people as tall as you on here and one will reply soon.

I am 6\'3" ............ I think I was rather lucky that the seat on mine seems quite far back ...... I used to use a garage where the guy was taller than me and he said mine was the only one he could get in to.

Anyway, it is totally possible ....... you may just have to move the runners back.

Got to say that I am by no means in my best driving position but it is fine .......... I reckon my rails could go back a bit ..

if you remove the rear seats, the seats poke out about 1" 1/2 over the edge, move the rails bck a bit or drill out the rivits that stop the seat going all the way bck u shud be ok bud hope that helps ya lol

Im 6\'3-6\'4....you can either do what these guys said (re getting seats adjusted) and get a flat bottom 330mm steering wheel or smaller and you\'ll be fine.....even better than that get mazdaspeed seats and do the steering wheel....and youll have loads of room.:Thumbsup!

I\'m 6\'5" mate, i did a write up on FDUK on how to mod the seat runners, oh and with the handbrake off you don\'t get leg stuck.

Cheers for the info guy\'s.. So I am not a lost cause!! I was gutted when I tried as there is loads of headroom!! I was contemplating surgery but glad to hear there is no need.. Seat rails or different seats sounds like a plan! A smalled wheel would be a must as well. Hope I can get my size 13\'s between the pedals ok!! Don\'t want to be hitting them all at once!
