This looks like it is going to be awesome. I reckon some serious thanks are in order for all the people who have put in the behind the scenes work!

I might even be turning up in my own RX7 this time... ;)

Cheers,

Chris.

Quote from: bnaellisLooking forward to this the only shame is that it\'s only 4 runs each, you just get the bit in between your teeth and that\'s it for the day:(
If the strip is open till 9pm what happens if all the people that intend to run their cars down the strip have had their 4 runs already  amd it\'s only like say 7pm? Are we then allowed extra runs?

Brian

I would of thought you can pay double and have 8 runs??

Quote from: cliveAs for the Drag strip we have taken on board the cry heard from many members about queuing at Santa Pod and so there will be NO demo cars taking track time at R4 which will keep the track moving much faster without the sometimes hour delays while Fred or whoever shows how he can bounce his car on one wheel!, this event is about Japanese cars only and lots of em.

Clive

How is this going to work with Round 3 of the HKS Drag Series ?

I have not raced in that series yet but as far as i know everything stops for the pro cars ????

Can you shed some light on this

thanks Keith

How have the previous rounds of the HKS series been integrated this year? Imagine it will be similar to previous JapShows where they stop RWYB for 20 minutes or so, so the Pro cars can do qualifying runs, and then the knockouts?

Clive is at Silverstone for the Hamilton media love-in ATM. He has a meeting with SP next week to dot i\'s and cross t\'s on a long list of stuff. Do know that SP were keen to preserve as much of the \'friendly\' atmosphere of RS and accepted the idea of \'wild card\' qualifiers being included in finals if cars are eligible etc BUT pointless for me to speculate on the outcome of discussions in detail - More news follows ASAP.  Sorry not to be more definitive but did not want your Qs to go unacknowledged till after the period of national mourning if LH does not win on Sunday.

Hi Keith hope your well,

Pleased to see you smelt that prize money all the way up there :Giggle

20B boy (Rich) is correct but these will be the only stoppages unlike normal pod events, also don\'t forget we are looking for "wild cards" from Saturdays RWYB to go through to the Rotorstock Drag Championships that incorporates a round of the HKS series, providing of course the cars compliy to race in a specific class.

BTW It will be good as a Rotorstock Champion if you will be attending

Hi Clive

Not sure if my car can run at rotorstock 4 as its not road legal anymore, but it still runs with the std nissan chassis we have also been running on MT ET Streets but i have radials that i can put on ???

Hi Keith,

Don\'t worry we are not running to "road car spec" as with previous Rotorstock events to find the overall winner so your car will be O/K

You would run in the "Pro" class which is for any car running quicker than 9.99, there is also a RWD/4WD street class for cars no faster than 10.00 and a FWD class for cars running faster than 13\'s but not quicker than 9.99.

If you look at the opening mail on this thread you can download a copy of the rules.

Hope this helps .
All the best Clive
