speedo and cruse contol not working in a 92 fd

is the problem likly to be with puse generator on gearbox or kph mph converter in dash

Either one would cause your problem. easiest option is bypass the kph/mph converter see if that cures it then go from there.

so cruse contole feed is of speedo not of puse jenerator directly
will have to strip down dash and have a look

Not 100% sure on  rx7 but normally the feed enters the car in the ecu loom then splits from there.

depends a lot where in the loom the converter is wired in. Go with the easy option first which is bypassing the converter.

Do a search on ebay then you can see the pics they are normally wired in the passenger footwell.

had a good look round and cant find it in the car yet any idear how close to ecu thay are normaly

its down to whoever does the wiring to be honest most wire it in that area because it is easy to get to and out of the weather.

been reading wireing diagram for 94 lhd and looks like pulse generator feeds cloks and thgen cloks feed ecu and cruse so will folow mack root checking from ther ( will check at harnes plug under dash

it will prob be behind the clocks or in the passanger foot well in the loom that plugs into the main engine loom, id start at the clocks as its easy and then take the passanger seat out and check under the dash. dont for get the chip can be as small as your little finger nail.

it tuns out puse jenerator unpluged I am very happy
