Nearly finished fitting the single tub to my FD but im stuck, don\'t know if i should refit the undertray or leave it off, i\'ve fitted a blitz front mount and moved the rad up about 40 degrees, I know the tray is designed to help air flow through the rad in its stock postion just car\'nt see the point refitting it now!!

Varies on the exact setup in my experience. At the Ring on the weekend with our v-mount and no under tray at all water peaked once at 87 degrees, solid at 85 degrees the rest of the time (with largely sub-ambient intakes too), doing back to back laps in the 8.30s or less...

Run it, and keep an eye on the coolant temps. Will help keep a little road smeg out of the engine bay I guess if fitted, although tbh I\'m not sure how much of a diff it will make - its not like the under tray doesnt have holes in it or that stuff on the road is sucked into the engine bay, most FDs leak stuff out the bottom, not th eother way road, lol :)

On stock setup the undertray is needed as part of the airflow process, if you have changed the settings then perhaps you might not need it, keep checking your intake temps and water temps to see if theres an issue, if all is well then leave it off i guess :Thumbs-up

Personally i prefer having mine on anyway, as it stops anything from hanging too far down (Coolant pipes for example) and stops anything from getting in from underneath.

Yup an undertray is cheaper than having something smash into the bottom of your engine bay :)

interloper393

fit a custom metal undertray with luve grills directing into your engine bay :) will make a fair bit of difference then :D
