Just looking for a some information here as I\'ve read a couple of different things on this.

I\'ve heard you can do it by disconnecting it and pressing the brake? If this is the case, the one I have should be reset no? Simply because it\'s not been connected to a car for a little while.

Saying that though, would people not loose their maps if the battery died??

Also, is it possible to reset it with the commander?

I\'ve also read you can do it with a datalogit??

I\'m simply asking as I have the Apexi PFC but without commander/datalogit.

Any help on this appreciated!

why do you need to reset it?????
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

You only reset the stock ecu by pressing the brake pedal. I dont think it works with the pfc?? The pfc unit will not lose it\'s memory, even when unplugged for 10 years. You can reset to factory default settings by using the commander. This will loose your map though and resort back to default map like when it was first bought from new. Why would you want to do this?

I bought the PFC from another member and obviously don\'t know if it\'s mapped or ran on the base map.

So for safety reasons I wanted to reset it to base map before I got it mapped.

So... I need a commander then?? Joy, the Mrs is gonna bend my ear for that! lol

Yes you\'ll need a command to reset it. No other way around it.
