Hi

I used to have a fuel cut-off switch in my old RX7 FC which, I think, cut power to the fuel pump. I used this to turn the engine off, so any fuel in the engine would be burnt before the engine shut down, thus reducing the chance of flooding.

Is this harmful to the engine in any way? I was considering adding a switch to the car I am about to buy, but just need to make sure!

Thanks

my imobilser used to do the same when removed ( cut the fuel )

i used to pull that out - wait for the revs to flicker and then turn off

i did this for over 3 yrs without any probs

what car are you thinking of buying ( to use this method )

I bought an FD yesterday. Don\'t think I\'ll need to do this though as it seems to start fine, warm or cold. Maybe the Apexi Power FC helps...my old RX7 was standard and used to flood all the time!
