Finaly I straped the battery on to the rex to sort out a few gremlins running around my headlight wireing!!!!

When I came back from testing the new clutch I parked up the car, turned the lights off but they didn\'t drop.I turned them down using the maual winders the following morning, but now they wont come up!! It was sujested that the dash switch mite have broken or the plug pulled out slightly when I was wireing up a gauge, so tonight I pulled the dash out to take a look at the switch & to make sure it was pluged in..... yep was all securely attached, so I turned the lights on & it was like that sean off top gear when clarkson bought that maserati: you could see the lights on in the bumper:rolleyes:

I know the battery isn\'t up to much so this could be a big part of the problem, but if you drop the lights manualy, does the motor return to the down position or does it still think they are up so the motor doesn\'t opperate?? or could I have blown a fuse for the light motors???

Hope you can help,
Jono

It could be the contacts within the lights themselves. They have been known to get dirty and not operate the lights. One of mine went like that - can happen if you\'ve been parked up for a while. These are serviceable, so you can take it to bits and clean up. something to start with at any rate.
