sorry,13,000 rpm was another car that warped its apex seals on a dyno.

RE:Worx

Hi CCarlisi

interesting problem couple of questions.

What ECU
What coils
What leads
What plugs

is this car running I don\'t think it\'s an engine build problemn I would suspect that you have an ancillary problem 13psi of boost is nothing but from my experience 13psi is where ignition problemns really start to show up on a dyno is it fine on say 10-12psi of boost and what power are you making then and what power are you making?

It seems to me also though that maybe the engine is also getting too rich which could create a bore wash situation, too much fuel washing the oil that is getting into the engine for seal lubrication away?

It\'s possible, but motor number two was tuned with the afrs in the low 11s.

Does the oil in the sump smell petroly?
There was fuel in the oil of motor #2.  There was a problem with one of the oil seals in that motor.  I believe one of the side seals getting stuck was the cause.

If you had seal chatter like has been suggested then it would be obvious on the rotor housings.
True.  Theer build reconfirmed today that there were no chatter marks on the housings.

What timing are you running under max boost?
16 degrees of advance in the 7800 rpm block.

Good idea to check the MOP,mine was putting out virtually nothing. My GT35/40 has a bov just before the throttle body.It spins for ever when the engine is off, with no oil going to it,I think maybe this is why the bearings are worn,as I use it every day.

Interesting, I\'ll pass your experience on to my friend.  One of the tuners he spoke to suggested that he may be using too stiff of a BOV spring.

-Apexi Power FC
-stock coils
-NGK wires
-9s all around on motor #3, 10.5Ls on motor #2
-Also he has an HKS twin power ignition box.

The car is running but only has about 10.5in of idle vac at 950rpms.  There was no audible indication of detonation.  His dyno charts are not choppy either.  He made 353rwhp at 13.7psi (last run) and about 330 at 13psi flat.

Today we\'re planning a little experiment.  We\'re going to add premix to the tank and do a few highway runs at 13psi.  If it doesn\'t lose vac I think it will be a good indication that his problem is related to the oil system.  I will let you guys know how it goes.  Thanks for all the ongoing help.

Best,

Chris C.
