Is this possible with out running into a host of problems?
If so any ideas on the ideal offset?

Hi mate

I have 8.5 front and 9.5 back and i dont think it would work to wellif i had the 9.5 on the front, with the 8.5\'s it sometimes rubs on the inside when on full lock and also i had to push the lip up on the arch aswell as it kept clipping.  I guess it depends alot on if you have lowered your car and by how much.

Mate why do you want to put 9.5\'s on the front anyway???  Ive heard its not a good idea to go too wide on the front on any car, cant quite remember why thou lol

There are some in the US that are running that wide up front, but the offsets have to be spot on for it.

Sadly I dont know what they are.

I don\'t like the way that on some wheels the front ones look differant to the rear (bigger lip or deeper dish) when you run 2 differant widths!
Guess i\'m gonna have to do some research!

Just been having a look on RX7club.com and i think that if i go with 9.5x18 on the front with a offset as close to 50 as possible then they should fit!
Only one way to find out!

The CCW Setup is 10x18 all around with an offset around 50 I think.

Thats only cos you\'ve got "westwood style" chrome 19\'s!
Balls to it i\'m just gonna order em!
Have you seen my other post as to what wheels i\'m gettin?
What do you think mate?

If you have some nice wide arches then yes ;) Feed recommend 18x9.5 with about a 24 offset.

Lum

I have standard arches unfortunatly. However i reckon a high offset and a large hammer should sort it!

I\'ve been wanting to know this for a while too.

I cant stand how the 8.5\'s aren\'t dished like the 9.5\'s. Some slightly stretched tyres will help pull the tyre under the arch too..

Can the front arch be rolled or pulled slightly to give more room? I haven\'t actually got my RX7 yet so i cant check.

You don\'t want to go that wide on the front.  Your turn in will be terrible.  The extra weight will affect braking as well.  The feel will be awful, so my advice is don\'t do it.  Go bigger on the back, but even then you need to check on your geometry to check all of the tyre will be used.

What would you recommend for front arches whose manufacturers (Feed) recommend 18x9.5s?? Only solution I can see is sticking to 18x8.5 but with massive spacers?

Sorry for the thread hijack ;)

What size tyres would you be running?  The other worry you get is keeping the balance between front and rear, otherwise you start inducing under/over steer :(

For the rears I\'d be on 255/35, for the fronts I was thinking 245/35 as looking at the calculator this would keep the speedo almost dead on 60mph @ 60mph for front and rear.
