Right not sure what it is i think its the ABS the Sensor that goes through the
back of the Brake disc and sits just above the Gear Bit ??

Any ways wilst Changing the Suspension the arm bit fell forward snapping the wires going in to this sensor, i have started the Car and all fine and no lights on the Dash.

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to buy a new sensor

also what is the best way to get them out :D :D might try and fix this one ??

any help appreciated  :)

Well i havent actually seen the ABS on the start up but will check next time !!

any way\'s i managed to get the unit out in the end took bloody ages mind :D :D

i didnt break it !! thank God :D so i managed to cut the rear of the unit down to show enough of the broken wires, i then soldered 2 new wires on and connected them back up !!  not sure if it works but is all connected :D :D

Not sure whether this is still a live thread or how you got on Chris, but same thing happened when i changed the front suspension but on the passenger side.  ABS light came on dash when i drove the car so i guess i broke the wires.  Tried to fix it like you but didn\'t work.

If you connect an ohmeter to the wires on the sensor, you should be getting a reading of approx 0.8 to 1.2 Kohms.  You can be sure whether these work then :)

I had to buy a new one from Mazda direct, of which there\'s none in the UK, so had to get it shipped from Germany.  This was, wait for it..... £145 !!! (and this is each).....

By the way, the ABS light wont come on until you start to move, cos the ABS Control Unit wont notice a change.  When you start to move there will be no signal from the sensor and then the ABS light will illuminate, this is what happened on mine.

Hope this helps.
