No woosh from my dump valve!

Jus put on a new dump valve and it\'s not making a noise. 1st of all i put on a standard piston type and lost power (douh muppet) now i\'ve got a group a valve which is sposed to be good for these. my powers back but no noise and it is an atmospheric valve not a recuirculating? Help i wanna wake my neighbours! Oh and also my exhaust is popping alot more since fittin this valve.

I think you can safely say, its not working. Even with the car stationary, you should hear the release of waste compressed air as you rev. Surely without dumping waste air you would be putting your turbos under stress as the air pressure would try and spin them backwards!!!!
