I have finally got round to fitting my hks twin power I bought off ebay.
I plugged the loom in, bolted the earth down and everything was good.
I pulled off my drive and drove down the road when I noticed it wasn’t pulling well and it was miss firing when I put the power down.:Grrr
I knew their was a problem so I went strait back home and disconnected it.
Once I removed the twin power it was fine.

Has anybody experienced problems with the twin power?:3Confused

Not with mine, the light is lit dimly but certainly no probs with acceleration. Maybe a duff unit?

Where did you earth the unit to ? Did you bolt it to bare metal or just to a painted surface. Could just be a bad ground, some panels do just become bad grounds.

Kash_

which plugs are you running and how old are they?

bobert

I used a good earth from a bolthole in the chassis
I am running the engine in at the moment so I am using 9’s all round and they have done around 3000 miles.
I have been out for a long run in the car today and it runs fine without the ignition amp.
I think I might have a faulty unit.:reallymad
I bought it early on in the year of ebay I just never got round to fitting it

Do they offer a warranty?

bobert

It was second hand, I will email the bloke any way and to see what he has to say.

Never understood why people would buy a used/second hand electronic component like that!
Especially something that can potentially destroy your engine if not functioning as should.....
