Tyre size for 18" rims?

If I fit 18" rims to my FD, what should the tyre size be? Rims are 18" - 8J  with a 5x114 fittment

On 8" rims? 225\'s or 235\'s /40/18 not much wider then that i\'m afraid. I\'ve always tried to get at least 9" wide rims on the back with some 255\'s but i guess it depends on how your going to drive it.

BTW its not the PCD (5x114) thats realy the Issue, you need to check the Offsets of the rims.

with alloys, they have one or two kerb marks on them and the pics i have of them are a bit dusty since the car is in the bodyshop but if your interested i can post the pics on here if you like if you fancy making me an offer?
