Hi everyone;
I have one of these clutchs and flywheels: http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/exedytpfd.htm

The car currently won\'t go into gear... I can start the car in gear (with clutch depressed), or try hard to force it into gear.

I noticed that once I get into gear, even with the clutch pressed all the way down, the car moves a little (slowly), but ofcourse if I release the clutch, I can drive, it seems the clutch has good life left within it.

Does anyone know what this could be related to? Bad clutch release arm?

The clutch is very rattely/noisy (I guess its normal with twin plate clutches).

Thanks for your help

Car is a FD3S btw, 1992.

Just been reading up, anyone think it could be the following;
o bent clutch fork
o pilot bearing

Also: Do you think it would damage the clutch plates? Might I get into a position where I need a new clutch?

this happened to my imprezza, from what i understood from the mechanic, the fork thing initially went but it screwed the gearbox with it. hope this isnt the case but htought it might help.

This happened to Grinder, turned out to be a shot slave cylinder on his FC...

If your twin plate uses a standard release arm then this is the likly cause as I have seen several of the stock ones crack and bend across the roll pin holes.

If it is this then the without the engine running the pedal will pump up solid.

If it\'s not doing this, if you can tell us a little more about what is happening to the pedal on operation we can hopefully help you a bit more.
All the best Clive

Hi Clive,
The clutch seems to be the same when the car is on and off. (No additional pressure on depressing).

I can hear when I\'m trying to push the car into gear, a rubbing sound, I believe is between the flywheel and the clutch.... I guess the clutch isn\'t being fully released?
