I am thinking, toying, with the idea of selling my 3 rotor RX7. Most usual users of the site know the car and the spec. Built by Pip at great expense, presently running 602BHP but as Banzai magazine, May issue says, it’s easily tweak-able to something near 750BHP, trust me, for road use you won’t need it! ( this car demands the greatest of respect, or it WILL kill you, No joke!) It’s now done about 4500miles from the rebuild and is going as smooth as silk, just done the normal service, and has around 10 and bit months MOT. Check the spec out with Pip, and read Banzai May issue for details. For performance you won’t get much better. What do I want for it?  I don’t know, but it won’t sell for the normal 8 or 9K. Please, only serious enquires on this one. The ultimate Assault on the senses, to body, and ears!   Contact me at

Sorry but as of 1/3/06 non-members are now not allowed to post their contact details due to a decision made at the AGM by our members unless they are selling in the for sale section.

P.S. Don\'t ask what I want for it, I (MAY) take an attractive offer! thats how I feel about it. If it don\'t go, not too bothered.

Having seen the car it is very good.
Serious money over 20k I would have thought be in order here.

Hi Normski, I suggest starting a thread in the For Sale section, it will get more interest being in there, plus add a full spec list as I\'m sure it will interest a lot of people.

I\'m not too sure what is involved in the conversion, but it might be worth adding if you would consider selling the 3-rotor setup separately?

I know it\'s my dream to have a 3-rotor!

Crikey! Read Banzai for info then! Loads, and loads, loads is involved in the conversion. I doubt he\'d be interested in selling the engine alone - so much went in to getting it done in the first place. Besdies, if you want a 20b in your 7....then, Normski has it done! So why remove the engine, only for it to go back in a 7! :3Confused

Not everyone reads Banzai.
Hopefully Normski can post that info if he really wants to show the worth of the car - I for one would certainly like to see the effort involved.  Else I might have to order a back issue :)
Who said it would go into another 7 ;)
Also, don\'t underestimate how attached people are to their existing car or how much work has already gone into them.

Where  live now, there is almost nothing, regards shows, and proper track and race meets to go to. The roads are not so good eather. It needs to be where people can see it, who know what they are looking at and can Appreciate  the engineering Pip has put into it! it has not done many miles, and has a very long MOT. If I hang onto it too long it will start to build some miles, MOT will run out, then I have to travel 2500 miles to get all that sorted. Sorry to say, my little life has changed, to one, which is very difficult to fit the Rex into it. Sods law!!!!!:3Confused

Done what it said but, nothing has happened :

So it\'s here!

For now anyway!

All design work, fabrications and build was carried out by the best out there (Pip at WGT auto-developments)

Spec of the 3 rotor:

20B Cosmo engine Fully rebuilt, Clearanced bearings, street ported, extra dowels added, external oil pump, modified inlet manifold,, bespoke exhaust manifold, custom engine mounts. Turbonetics T72 blower, 1000cc secondary injector, Bosh 044 fuel pump, Full Aquamist injection system, Swirl pot mounted in boot, Battery remounted in boot. Mirotech LT12 engine management system, and dash mounted management display and fully controllable computer for it. Only running 12psi and limited to around 7200rpm but still putting out 602BHP, with almost 500ftlb of torque, reprogram the Microtech and she will pull 750BHP, or more, if you were MAD!  ( but you won’t need it) it’s a bloody animal as it is! Modified gearbox, shortened and modified prop shaft.  Custom made intercooler and radiator, expensive hoses, many braided.
The above is just the tip of the iceberg, as it were, many, many more mods done to maintain the FD 50/50 balance and also make the whole unit site significantly lower than the normal 13B unit, thus helping lower center of gravity. But the car does not sit so lower it ground out! Read, May 07 issue of Banzai. Or speak to Pip at WGT

8X18 front and 9X18 rear Technospeed alloys with 225/40 and 265/35 rear Yokohama road legal race rubber. KAD six pot front calipers with 335 vented disks, and ferrodo 2500 pads all round. Big bore stainless exhaust, the noise is totally stunning!

Full Veilside body kit C1, with Nemesis custom smoke silver paint, over 5000 pound paint job. One off custom bonnet ( thanks to Gary for that one), Also Nemesis twin headlight conversion.

Interior :  Additional oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and water temp gauge, Large drag programmable rev counter, with change light. Has Pioneer sound system installed, with subwoofer. Condition of interior reasonable to good. To completely finish this car to an inside out outstanding machine, I would have door cards and rear, retimed, not a fortune.

Well, you will not see something like this very often so think about it. Not to say this the price I am after, but you are looking at over 30K, just for the engine mods alone. Only a handful in the World like this baby!

P.S the bonnet on the car, in the pics, is now not on the car. Back to a silver modded one
