Hey peeps theres a few localish tuners that map other cars without any probs and do a good job. Can anyone tell me if there any special requirements for mapping a rx7? i want a map on the apexi iv just got as the knightsport i have i just dont trust..

What would you recommend? will have a feed downpipe, hks twin filters and backbox..

any advice would be great, nearest specialist is pips, 5 hour drive away :(

DRIVE TO PIP they are very onforgiving cars with regard to det dont take a chance use a rex or rex knowledgeable tuner

Err on the side of caution and you can get away with it. Depends a lot on how close to the limit you want to go. There\'s a number of self tuners out there that is proof that it can be done yourself Blitzboy and John with his FC are good examples so another tuner should be okay so long as he\'s careful.

This all seems strange to me

Correct me if I\'m wrong but isn\'t this car for sale?

And yet you\'re here on one thread asking about mapping and another about water temps.

Might it be an idea tro get the car fully sorted b4 advertising it for sale.

I would guess any potential buyers would read these other posts and hold back anyway.

Or is it just me..............

well the car is for sale and if you read my add, says apexi and map included if price is met, as for the water temps. faulty sensors which will be replaced tomorrow..

As everyone will tell you, knightsport ecu`s r a unknown so id rather have the apexi fitted and mapped, as would any possible buyer..

If I was in the market for a modded rex, I\'d want it mapped by a rex specialist. I\'d trailor it to PIP.

Only passing an opinion - if I were looking to buy a Rex I\'d want to buy one that had been running OK for quite a while on an established setup not a pick and choose on this or that part.

As I said, to me it just seems a strange way of going about trying to sell a car in what is at the moment a very competitive buyers market.

I\'m sure you know best on how to sell your car, I\'m only passing on how it reads to me.

As the car is for sale then i\'d agree with this.
