In Car Computer

I\'ve got a PC in my car which I use for music. I\'ve not seen many entries on here relating to in car computers and I don’t think that people are best making use of them.

I\'ve got a the basics lined up, ie sat nav & hands free etc. I will soon be upgrading to an apexi with datalogit, but I\'m looking for a little inspiration. I\'m thinking of putting in various sensors and tying them into the parallel port so the computer can display various thinks like what gear your in, how far down the accelerator / break is etc. It doesn\'t give any useful info but will look fancy.

Has anyone done this or does anyone have any good ideas?

with the innovate aux box you can easly tie in the standard sensors/rpm/egt and with the wide band a/f ratios and do the data logging to the pc, depending on weather you want to monitor or tune it may be an alternative as its much cheaper.

Interested too.

I know a few who have the TV/DVD ones and just use it for music video\'s.  I would like one I can use for the same but to minitor and log stuff that the PFC doesn\'t show.
