I know most of these need to be pinned down, but as i park my car in the street im worried about the loss of bonnet, and under bonnet parts.

Can you get locking pins?

Minty you can get bonnet pins that are locks, so all that bit more secure. ;)

If you can wait a year or two (hahahahahaha!!!) I designed a locking pin setup specifically for what you want.

Needs a larger hole than standard (about 40-55mm), is nearly flush with the bonnet (slightly domed), locking is an option (inbuilt locking device), looks smart, light weight and aerodynamic.

I don\'t really like the standard pins. They look great on something from the 70\'s and really fit, but for something slick and swoopy they look like an add-on.

Have not made one yet though. And they aren\'t any good on my bicycle. Fitting them over the engine on that might require surgery I\'m not willing to try... ;)

Any interest in something like this folks?

A mate of mine had them on an escort a few years back, very functional, and looked tidy only thing I thought was they were a little on the large side (the big washery bit), but they may just look slightly smaller on the rex(presuming it hasn\'t got an escort bonnet on it) :p
