I\'ve just got an FD in which has a few toys in it, Apexi PowerFC, AVC-r etc and is running really sweet.  Now the bodywork on the other hand is in a bit of a poor state, so a mate of mine who owns a small bodyshop is offering to paint the car for me at a good price.

Now i trust him, but the people who work for him.... i dont.  So my question is, if I unplug the avc-r straight from it\'s loom via it\'s little plug will it loose its settings?  Or will it retain them when I plug it back in?  I presume if I unplug it, it\'ll run on standard boost settings?

Just dont want someone messing with it, i know you can password protect it, but I\'d just rather have it out of sight out of mind.

I think from the back of my head that the AVC-R keeps it\'s memory settings.  If not, why not just write them down on a piece of paper.

I used to work on my silvia alot and I think that I never had to reconfigure it.

If you have a commander for the PFC you can set the rev limit at 3000, that way they can move the car around but not much else.

Dont forget to remove the commander after the change.

Was hoping the avc-r would keep it\'s memory.
