Guys your thoughts wold be appreciated.

I have a carbon fibre bonnet at the moment but it looks a little tarnished.  My car is going to get a bit of a face lift but not sure whether to get it lacquered or painted.  Totally undesided.... Car colour is red with black twin areo knightsport spoiler and gold AVS alloys.

Get the bonnet lacquered.....mine looked a bit drab to start off with.....a good lacquer and polish....now looks fantastic!

Mmmm red and the Gold AVS alloys will look awesome !!!!

Is there carbon in the spoiler ? If not then get the bonnet painted.

Jit

why not get the bodyshop to apply a really thin layer of paint (like the ferrari f40) so that the carbon weave can still be seen thru??
I reckon that would look awesome!

Has the clear coat gone a milky colour or just lost it\'s shine???

If it\'s gone milky you will need to sand the bonnet back to almost the carbo to get rid of it!!! so if that is the case, just spray it. but if it\'s just gone dull, you should be able to get it buffed up at your bodyshop instead of getting it sprayed!!

Looks very chav in the UK imo.

Get it sprayed in a translucent (candy) colour so the CF subtly shines through?

Cheers guys....plenty of food for thought there.  To be honest its just a little dull...it look brilliant when wet :Laugh

Got to admit really like the idea of light coating of paint showing the weave:mmmm

gmogle......I do love my rims they really look the nuts...well when their clean anyway.  I guess I should post some pics really.

Why not do what was getting popular in the US and partially paint it.

You could mask off sponsor logos or simialr and paint the rest, allowing the carbon to show through as graphics would!

Or paint the sides leaving the middle carbon, if this is done at an angle it looks good (wider as it passes down bonnet etc.)

If you get my drift :3Confused
