hi ok finaly got round to taking car for a longish run.
everything seemed ok was abit hunting for a while(1k to 1.5k then settled after a boot)
but what i did notice was the inj duty went from 95.5 to 90.1
and the boost has gone from .8 to .73
any ideas whats caused this or would a map sort it out.
i haev removed the secondary butterflys and opened the chamber up abit(ok alot lol)
also takin water pipes off the inlet manifold and put orignal elbow back on.
also removed airpump and everything to do with it.

so is it maybe just needing mapped to settle the air/fuel mix back again

doesnt sound like theres a air leak anywhere either

thanks

whats this 27 views and no one knows whats up lol

As the boost has dropped off that is a direct link to the duty dropping off as less fuel is needed.
You must have a boost leak somewhere.

mmmm how easy to find as hda car running and couldnt hear any hissing o rnoise.
would me not having the extra holes blanked off on the apexi filter do that(the ones that connect to the airpump?
its not a huge loss, but going to count when it comes to whooping those guys at crail

You\'ll need all the boost you can get as well mate...................

Would you not need to have it under load for a hissing noise to appear mate................

dont know neil
just abit ****ed its nothng obvouis
might have to call a frend on this one

where would the boost leak come from?
the plenum? the acv i took off or the other blanking plates
might have to strip it all back out again

mikeyh

ok came to work this morning let it warm up and put foot to the floor

boost .76
inj duty 95.7
mmmmmm i hate cars lol

Mike,

The inj duty is a tad high mate so if the lower boost is lowering the Inj duty then it might not be such a bad thing as 95% is very high, normally we view anything up to 90% is ok.

Speak with either of the specialists and see what they think ??

The Injector Duty tells you how hard the injectors are working to fuel the car, we usually say up to 90% theres no issues but over that figure and particularly close to 95% some may deem too high a figure ??

As i said perhaps one of the specialists can tell us the exact safe percentage but i believe over 90 - 92 % Inj duty is too high ???

well well well looks liek i found the trouble
i took a wee trip to duns tonight and on way down the second turbo went down(ie did`nt kick in)
so as you all know i **** bricks lol so took it easy to his hosue.
got htere opened bonnet but couldnt hear any hissing at all so thought its terminal.

but low and behold turns out the lower ic pipe had came off and looks like silly old me had`nt tighened it so thats maybe where the leak was.

so gave her a good go and boost back to 0.84 and inj duty about 80ish

so looks like im back in the running for that trophy boys

but thanks to everyone for help and advice.
