Just took delivery of my Apexi PFC. Is it a simple proceduce of unplugging the old ecu and replacing with this one?

Joeh

Yes sir, should be that easy.

There is a guide somewhere on the forum, search it ? :)

Cheers mate! Thought so but didn\'t want to blow anything up!!

Yup. Disconnect battery.

Remove old ECU.

Fit new ECU.

Reconnect battery.

Put key in.
Ignition on (don\'t crank).

Check that all sensors are working on the Commander screen.

Crank.

Idle for ten minutes, all electricals off.

After ten minutes put heated rear screen on, let idle for 10 mins like this.

After ten minutes put aircon on, let idle for further 10 mins like this.

That\'s the end of the self learning phase.

What you will find though is that it will feel a little odd whilst driving at times, as the ECU is self learning all of the time. Gets better and better basically.

Can I ask what engine mods you are running?

The base map covers intercooler, filter and cat back exhaust. Anything else you will want to get it mapped. But you shouldn\'t be lead footed until you have it mapped anyway in case the knock figures are high. OK for regular driving though.

You\'ll notice a large improvement.
