At the moment I have GAB shocks and springs but I want to replace them with something more suitable for the track as the car will gradually become more and more track orientated, whilst still keeping the car reasonably useable on the road.

What do people recommend? I don\'t want to spend thousands but obviously you get what you pay for generally...

I have re-a lower links on the rear but standard anti-roll bars all round-I assume it\'s worth replacing them too? :2Confused

Replace the anti roll bars, fit Tanabe coilovers or Nitron coilovers but it depends on budget.

ahh budget-as always! only just started looking into it. do tein have a good option? also are there various options for the roll bar or one in particular that people tend to go for?

I would personally not recommend Tein i have had no luck with them. Every one of course will recommenf the Type flex that tein do. Cheap and easy to get hold of.

I would seriouly consider the Tanabe stuff. Other options more aimed at the track would more over a grand for something thats \'proper\'. I think RE:WORX use the racing beat ones. However i belive that Tanabe and Cusco do sets aswell.

I\'ve got tein type RA coilovers. They\'re about a grand but top for track use and not to bad on the road either!

RAW

i\'ve heard of RE but not RA! i think at the moment Tein either do the Mono Flex kit for a grand, or the RE kit for one and a half, although this is more track orientated.  how old is yours?

If you are looking at spending up to 1.5k i would say Nitron all the way, every time. They are an amazing set of coilovers. They do Three versions they started with out and out race shocks, then dirived a track day set, then they built a track / road kit.

I will be buying their full race suspension later this year.

for 1.5k, it has to be Ohlin :InLove

McCARTHY

That would get you base level Ohlins still very good mind :chat . Get there top end 3-way jobbies well over 2k. The Impreza Prodrive Ohlins are £1.5k a corner.

Yeah the racing ones are over £2k, but you can get Ohlins DFV(one of their latest ones) for around 1.5k.  A friend of mine has them, very very good suspensions :yes
