Just reading a thread on pistonheads, and something struck me.
Can you use a space spaver on the rear of an FD? Or do you have to use it on the front, and put the front tyre on the back? Reason I ask, I imagine the LSD wouldn\'t be particularly happy with the different diameter of the space saver. Any thoughts?

If possible I would always put it on the front, even if does mean additional messing around - on the other hand, with it fitted there should be no heavy throttle use at all and no driving over 50mph.

The diameter of the space saver should be the same as your normal wheels!!!!

I had a blowout coming back from rotorstock 2 and i had to use the spacesaver on the back. It is perfectly fine as long as you keep under 50 and dont accelerate too quickly and go round corners slower. It looks bloody daft though. Mine had a grey primered door and yellow space saver. I got some weird looks because most have never seen an rx7 before and mine looked really crap at the time!

Mmmm grey doors eh! :spank

Used mine on the back too no problems.

Would be a bit of an bugger of a job to swap wheels around with 1 jack when pulled over for a puncture! :chat
