Street Port & Rebuild?

I currently have one of my imports in need of a rebuild due to blown water seal.  Im hopefully going to get Pip to do this in the near future. I\'ve decided to keep the car as my own, the car is basically standard apart from an exhaust, I wanted to get it street ported with dragons vmount, but finances wont allow it at the moment, so my questions is:

If I got it street ported with just the standard radiator and intercooler, and maybe just an airfilter, would this setup run ok until I add the vmount at a later date??....  Oh I have the ECU side of things sorted as i\'ve got a spare new PowerFC to throw in there, would stretching to a new rad be a good move too??  i.e. a koyo?  So basically the car would have this spec:

Airfilter
Exhaust
Street port
PowerFC
Possibly uprated rad?....

Any advice would be great.

if its just a street port should run fine m8 onces its been mapped? the rads not needed but best to upgrade if its quite old.
If the ports are too big then you will get lag i think.lol

Why not save up whilst running the car in? Powerfc, Exhaust, vmount in that order. Uprated rad is a good idea but you\'ll be getting that with the vmount kit anyway.

it will run fine.  however like some one that said if you vwere then going to change to a v mount after it has already been run in and mapped.  you will prob need it mapped again to get a good result.  2 mapping sessions are more expensive than one.

however to answer your question it will be fine, with streetport and stock intercooler, rad

I think if I upgrade the rad while the engine is being rebuilt then i\'d probably go with a front mount or use the koyo rad in a vmount setup before the final mapping session when the cars run in.

I was just making sure a street port would run ok on a powerfc and basically stock setup for the time being.
