Hi, I`m new to the world of RX7`s, I have a 93 FD3S which I think has been decatted but otherwise standard, benn rebuilt though. I would like to know what is standard procedure for upping boost, etc to get some more power, though I also need reliability. I was thinking of boost controllers, fuel cut defenders, this type of thing. Any help most appreciated. Thanks.

First point of call, where in scotland are ya lol..
As for mods.. first one should be a apexi power commander and fc.. the basic mods you cn do to a rex is a backbox and airfilters.. anything else you`ll need an apexi and remap.. so no decat until the apexi`s on bud, else you`ll have boost spikes and boom goes the engine..
These engines are very fragile in a sense.. so uping the boost is a no no until evrything else is upgraded to compensate i.e extra fuel n better cooling ect..

And welcome to the best Rotary site out there lol

Hi, I`m in the Glasgow area. I don`t know if the car has been decatted, just sounds like it, I reckon it is fairly standard except for a back box. I fancy a new set of wheels and a 99 spec rear spoiler for it to start with, then maybe I`ll get on to making it quicker. Cheers.

if its been decatted there a be a straight pipe all the way to the downpipe bud, the cats quite big so you`ll spot it a mile off lol..

Best bet would be to fit exhaust and filters. Then get an Apexi PFC. Then decat, fuel pump, smic/fmic and get it mapped at the same time as fitting.

I have Apexi PFC, SMIC, Filters and exhaust. I\'m gonna get uprated fuel pump and get it all mapped. :D
