Hi all.

Again I am after some advice please. Sarahs TII is idling at between 1700 and 2000 revs when warm.

It has the HKS filter and hard pipe on it (don\'t know if that makes a difference).

How do I get the idle speed down?

Cheers

ok im fairly new to all this aswell but know a little about engines....near the elbow there is a small screw attached to a spring,if you loosen or tighten this it will increase or decrease idle speed. hope this helps.

First the Idle should not change on its own unless you have a problem, So first check for air leaks, Then Give it a Service Plugs/Filters etc, Possably check the Thermo waxstat is working correctly. 1700-2000 is a Lot when its warm, tends to imply there is some thing wrong.

If you have changed some thing or maybe removed the secondary Throttles or some thing like that be carfull ajusting the Idle as it may have a Knock on effect to the Cold running idle too.

i have always found that its caused by the wax stat sticking as Chris says,  when the car warms up it doesnt release the cold start idles back to normal position.

There are two small water pipes running through the Throttle body,  pull them off and make sure you can blow through them, some times it get blocked and if water doesnt flow through it then it wont read hot.  You can clean it out if its block.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!
