Hi Lads..

The cat sensor light is on constantly in my FD and some1 started another thread asking about it and one of the lads said the oil metering pump sensor could be gone and thats bad if it is...

Can any1 tell me what all the letters mean and if anythings gone?

Took a pic but it didnt come out great... If you want to know what any of them are ask...

Any help greatly appreciated as i am not driving the car just in case something is wrong like that...

Cheers

Better Pic... Altho the car keeps cutting out so the readings are different...

The PAC is off when the car is running and the APR is on...

from best of my limited knowledge, i think your oil metering pump (vmop) looks ok as its not highlighted like the fuel one so think its that one on fault or gone and the heat light (HWL) is on constantly  as a warnning...

the ones with figures are sensors and dots are switches

PAC is port air control - also normal i think will check
CCN is Charge Control - normal to be lit i think
HWL is exhaust temp - mine isnt lit so this is a warning i would say
NTR is neutral if you put your car in gear this will go.

your main worry is your fuel pump i think.

Hmmm... Have a relay and direct feed to the Battery which is just behind the seat..  Is 4.98V too low? Car seems to be going fine.. Just didnt want to drive it incase it was the oil metering pump... Also the idle is all over the shop and the car keeps cutting out  Thought this might be somthin to do with a sensor gone...

m4drx

even though you have a direct feed the sensor that detects it may have gone.

im not certain about symptoms just a guess.

Fuel one highlighted in black is the fuel thermosensor(green plug/sensor on stock secondary rail.i take it you have an aftermarket secondary fuel rail and bigger injectors?? The heat light is on as a warning that the fuel sensor is out of range or unplugged which it is.Datalogit software can turn that light off for you, cannot be done via commander.

It also looks like your TPS switch is out of range which will cause car to idle/drive funny, cut out and generally play up.With throttle closed so car not running and ign on, your full range (VTA1 on commander) should be between 0.1 - 0.7 and your narrow range (VTA2 on commander) should be between 0.75 - 1.25.

VTA1 on yours is 0.7 so on the limit but your VTA2 is 1.67 so out of range.Loosen the TPS switch and swing it until you get VTA1 at 0.4 and VTA2 at 1.0.

Hopefully that will fix your problem, everything else looks ok.Let me know how you get on.

Sweet.. Cheers lads... Yea have an Extra fuel rail with 2 x 850\'s along with all the standard injectors replaced to 850\'s too...

K1HKS arse will give that a go tomorrow and let ye know..

Right have turned it the full way and its only going to VTA1 @ .42 and VTA2 and 1.02 and wont go any further... Idle is all over the shop and the car is still cutting out Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:2Mad

You will have to adjust while the car is NOT running or ideling but hot or on full operating temps...just the ignition on and then have someone to keep an eye on the commander and you move the semsor up and down very very very slowly.  Once you reach the volts as specified above just tighten the scews on the sensor.  Then also do a check on   with foot on the floor with throatle fully open.  Its very tricky but once the volts are within range you will be sorted.

Also there is a very small screw with a spring in make sure that all the way in an d adjust your idle from tha too by openning it slowly....good luck

Yea my mate was adjusting it while i was checking the commander... And the car was off but ignition on... If i get the values down will the idle be alright or is it somthing to do with the map? Anytime im coming to a stop at lights etc car cuts out... Will go over eveything tonight and make sure its not leaking air from anywhere...
