Here\'s what it looks like once everything\'s removed...

It might seem daunting mate, but it\'s not too bad. Just start unbloting everything!! I had to remove the plate which sat above the radiator pipe, I think you\'ll have to too.

The ducting for the stock IC won\'t fit anymore. I got a modded one with my IC, but I\'m gonna get something made out of fibre glass. (make sure you get some ducting, or it\'ll proably perform worse than the stock one).

Also the bit that sits on top of the ducting won\'t be able to fit either. It can be a bit tricky to get it all to fit depending on what filters you have.

When fitting the long pipe of the IC kit, don\'t put the silicon hose all the way to the base of the engine side, let it sit up slightly or the IC pipe will just pop out when you tighten it up because the hose could do to be bigger!

Any questions, feel free to ask. This is the first time I\'ve worked on any car tbh (apart from fitting the odd bov, or oil change). Just get stuck in. It\'s not too bad.

Here it is completed.... (ps, a different BOV will be getting fitted to the IC flange in a day or so)

Also, I used a little vent filter on the air pump instead of having the hassle of reconnecting it to the induction kit. (I blanked off that part of the induction kit)

I think it looks pretty decent! :D

I\'m replacing all the vac lines with silicon soon, I should do the rest of the bigger ones also. Would tidy it up a bit... but alot of hassle too!

hi i mite be getting one of these aswell it looks good mate.
do you think it mite be better to remove the air pump as i hear theres not much room left.  oh and whats that plastic bag doing there mate.

PIPFC

I removed mine as it did foul on the intercooler pipe(have been told by a friend that some go on without taking the air pump off) and also i found the strutbrace didn\'t fit as the same pipe sits a touch to high, but i have heard some people have had them fit with the strutbrace on or have taken a hammer to the pipe and put a dent in to make it fit back on. at the end of the day some will fit better than others-sod\'s law

It is close with the air pump, but it does fit with a wee bit of space to spare. Also no probs with the strut brace.

Only problem I had was the filters.

The plastic bag? You talking about the bit at the front of the car? It\'s the original ducting modified with a paint tray and lots of gaffer tape. Lol. It\'s only temp until I get something made out of fibreglass.

If you get a longer bit of silicone hose you could have the back of the pipe sitting slightly higher, this way it doesn\'t foul with the air pump.

I pulled the silicone hosing up a little from the engine side (ensuring it was still a good seal etc), which gave me more to play with.

But it did take alot of fiddling to get it all to fit!! The easy part was taking everything out of the engine bay!

lol... yay!.. lol. I can help people! Instead of me asking all the questions!

mine came with no pipes:( altho i have a mate who can make them, just have to go up to deemon tweeks at the weekend and get some pipe, got some kevlar and some resin so il make some ducting with that, looks like iv got the same filters as you but mine are side by side so il disconnect the pipe of the air pump and put um one over the other, my air pump is unplugged anyway as iv got a de-cat, without going out to the car to look is the air pump on its own belt?

Jim_rx7

If you remove the air pump you\'ll need a different belt. MRP sells them.

If you\'ve got the same filters as me (Blitz), then be ready for a headache!

I spend ages trying the filters in all sorts of positions until I finally got it sorted out. Wasn\'t easy!.. lol.
