Absolutely loveing :D  having my car back up and running after having to rebuild it due to water seal failure
However not loving having to run it in :(  i\'m desperate to put my foot down and see what my new turbo can do!
Thought i\'d celebrate it being back on the road by investing in a host of cleaning products and giving it the most thorough clean possible.
Ended up spending nearly £100 on the poorboys website :eek   defo worth it! Best cleaning products i\'ve ever used.

There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

strange_days_uk

what turbo ?

did you fit it all yourself ?

who will you get to map it ?  be sure to get a full map before boosting off on a new single tub

edit :  ooh and get a mesh to cover your nice ic, don\'t want a nasty big stone bending any fins...

It\'s a GT35R mate. Fitted it all myself, with lots of  help from davehg!
All ready got a map on it mate for running in was done by a friend of mine in bristol. He\'s got plenty of experiaence mapping rotaries. Just gotta get it on the wideband once it\'s all run in!
Never thought of fitting mesh!

Also fitted the pressure reg myself. Why?

Good work and congrats on doing the convo yourself.  I guess engine rebuild was a good excuse.

That tub is gonna be so much fun.  Should be the same power as mine, except you will get full boost about 1k earlier.  Enjoy it, sleepless nights until run in complete hahahahahaha :rollin

The poorboys stuff is without doubt the best cleaning product I\'ve ever used.  In fact I owe StevieG an email to order some more stuff.
Sweet looking pics just dont blow this one up!

anthony

anthony

thanks for the link, what products did you end up buying?
i was just thinking of getting their polish - Poorboy\'s Polish w/Carnauba

antnicuk

looks good, i like the wheels.

Did you build it your self?

I think the question re the FPR was the fact that it doesnt actually look \'fitted\' so to speak, more suspended :)
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Happy spending :D
You want //www.poorboysworlduk.co.uk
i used SSR 2.5 then SSR 2 finished it with SSR 1 & 2 coats of POORBOYS POLISH.

Didn\'t entirely build it myself! I pulled the engine out then a friend from on hear (davehg) who is rapidly becoming bristol\'s premier rotary engine builder did the rebuild work then it was a joint effort to build up the block and fit the turbo etc!

Mave

Mmm, look nice. Still thinking of swapping the wheels by the way?
