I have a year 2000 3rd generation will a 93 - 95 power fc work on my car with no problems

Sure the newer version is what you need, 95-96 onwards.

There are specific Power FC\'s for 1/99 onward-> cars; an earlier Power FC isnt going to work I dont think...

Nope...like rich has said....you will need the 99/1 onwards part number 414-Z006, and if you need the commander its part number 415-X001.
