just messing about with designs for a side mounted alternator for my 323 and just thinking about going with a mutli V belt setup and tensioning the belt using an idler bearing rather than moving the alternator (means I can have tighter clearance to the block without it having to move)

Anyone know if the pulleys from an FD will swap over to S4/S5 13B N/A ? anyone  upgraded to lightweight pulleys and want to sell me a standard set very cheaply so I can have a play? :)

This is the setup I am currently liking very much :D

Got side mounted from Pineapple Racing, i\'m too lazy to make one!

i thought about these brackets they look good and i will be putting a side draft weber on so thought it may help with air flow, is that a first gen with rack and pinion steering?
Thanks

i am looking to change pulley\'s to v belts from an FD as i cant seem to stop it slipping even with a twin pulley on the alternator. The only problem IIRC is the FD pump turns the opposite way to a TII so i would need to change the waterpump pulley which is a mission as its a funny shape,  obviously you wont have that problem as you are running an electric pump.

Other than that i cant help but if anyone knows how to fit FD pulleys to a TII retaining the stock water pump i would be gratefull.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

looks like a TII engine bay to me

I think it fits the 6 port 13b\'s too

I have most of the fab work done it\'s just a question of fitting it all around the timing arrangement and the chassis rails. I\'ve shifted my engine over to the passenger side slightly and lowered it + its in a 323 so not much room to mount it low down :D

I think I am going to hunt down a load of power steering pulleys in the garage tomorrow morning and see if I can make them fit ... pretty much the same 4 bolt fixings on the 323 (well looks the same!) The 323f V6 has a nice bearing type tensioner too but I can\'t nick bits of that!
