Hi Chaps,

Seem to be doing loads of things at once on my car.

Todays question is relating to the dash panels on the drivers door and also on the passenger side (the bit with the handle).

Do I have to take the whole door card off to get this bits out ?

Or by undoing a few of the screws that are hidden will be enough ?

Any tips as I always seem to break anything plastic on the car !!!

This is for a 1993 FD by the way !

Cheers,
Gareth

The plastic running down the drivers door card you will have to take the door card off. I think the passenger side you don\'t have to though.

I\'m pretty sure that you need to take the cards off for both sides. Quite simple though.

Drivers side, Take off the triangle bit a the corner of the window and the back of the lock/handle. Then undo 4 screws around the outside of the door card and 1 screw under a cover in the bottom of the handle, lift the whole thing up and towards you and unclip the electrical conections.

Passenger side, remove the triangle bit and back of lock/handle. Again 4 screws round the outside of the card. Then 2 more one is under a small cover below and to the left of the handle and the other is behind the window switch (gentle prise the switch out with a flat screwdriver). The last 1 is a pain to get back in. Again lift up and towards you

IIRC there are screws holding the parts you want off on the underside, all pretty obvious though

Hope that helps
