With this thread I\'m going to try and gather information about every single available aftermarket exhaust system for the RX-7 FD. The list isn\'t very large now, but I\'m at work. I will fill in alot of details when I get back home.

I will of course gladly accept input (brands, models, information and prices) from other people.

Also, I would like first and second hand experience with the different models. "this one is very load", "this is a very quiet exhaust", "this one is so hot that it melts my bumper" etc.

Thanks to everyone adding information and helping me! If you see any errors, or can contribute with new information to this thread, please write in this thread, or send me a PM!

PS: Unless stated, all systems are cat-back systems!
PS2: I take no responsibility for any errors in prices or information given in this thread! It\'s merely a collection of information found around on the Internet, and should only be used as a guideline when choosing your exhaust system.

Illyont

List is updated in first post! I\'ll consider this version 1.0.

As this list probably is far from complete, and the prices might be better in other shops etc, I\'m always looking for input from other people.

I will also add the exhaust sounds that I got from Frankie a bit later. If the forum admins like my idea, feel free to sticky this thread, and change the thread\'s name to Official exhaust thread.

Would it also be worth getting pictures of them fitted?

Not sure if I understand the question. The pictures you see when choosing view image (on certain exhausts) is a picture of the actual system fitted on a car.

I will be adding sounds to those that I have soundclips of, but remember. Some cars probably have recorded sound without the use of a catalytic converter, and some probably recorded with a catalytic converter. So the sound might not be the same if fitted on your own car.

Also, only a few of the clips go wide open on the throttle. Most just tap the throttle a little, so what sounds low might still be a beast on higher rpms.

If anyone have sounds (or videos) of any exhaust systems please reply to the thread, or send me a PM.

I will also try to add some more catback systems. HKS for example have alot of systems available, and only a few selected are listed so far.

Illyont

Time to bump this one up to first page I guess :)

Construction: Robot tig welding on visible welds, mig welding on other seams
Design: Single Box
Sound: Very Loud
Flange: 2 Bolt
System Type: Cat Back

Notes: 2 bolt flange leaks, this is the same with my front pipe/cat so I have replaced the stock 2 bolt flanges with 3 bolt V8 header style flanges.
