whirring from gear box

Rx-7 turbz

got a "whirring" noise coming from the gear box. When the pedals down the whirring stops, in gear or out of gear but once raised it starts. Theres no slipping of the clutch just this noise......... is it the clutch release bearing or any ideas?

definately the bearing mate

So would I, mine has done it ever since I got it, and thats 8 years ago
