Got my Apexi PFC yesterday, am I ok fitting it myself, is there a base map already on the ECU?

strange_days_uk

yes do it do it

base map is a little rich, good for induction and exhaust

LRP

yes go for it from what i can remember you fit it and it self learns the car for about 15minutes revs allover the place etc then settles
complete wankel :god

Ian@TunerUK

Cool, cheers guys, job for tomorrow!

FD3SNuttah

im gonna do mine tomorrow as well! :)

Grizzly

Sounds daft but you\'d have been better getting it map\'d at the same time, Mainly becouse when you put it on there is no real diffrence but when its map\'d it feels alot better (smoother and more powerfull)

Ian@TunerUK

I can\'t afford to get it mapped at the moment as I\'m between jobs and a bit short on the old moolah.

Once I\'m earning regularly again (next month) it\'ll be mapped by Pip.

FD3SNuttah

it still removes the speed limiter and gives a load of handy information! the base map is safe enough if you dont have many mods

Nuk Su Kow

Yeah but DON\'T floor it till it gets mapped....100% injector duty....no thank you :Hammer

Ian@TunerUK

Out with the old

Loom connectors

In with the new :D

Lots of readings, mega handy!!

Initial impressions:

Had to start the car and leave idling for about 10 minutes to let it sort itself out with fueling etc. It\'s only running on the base map so it\'s overfueling still and I\'m just driving off boost everywhere for now. Needs a proper set up but it all seems good.

Just a side note, what sort of knock readings should I getting from just driving round town off boost?

Jim_rx7

Mmmmm... need to be getting me one of those.
