What shall i do about the speedo??

Just booked my car in for a rebuild and the speedo light has gone behind so you can never read what it says anyways, i know its prob illegal but is there anyway to put the speedo mileage counter back to zero?? or does anyone know of a place to buy new snazzy speedos that arent stupidly expensive, ive seen a few mazdaspeed and feed ones in the past that were about 400 quid in japan and thats without shipping.

or if not is it easy to take the speedo out and change the bulbs???

very easy to pop the speedo out

undo the screws the hold the steering column shroud, 2 or 3 underneath.  Unclip that out the way.

Then pop the air vent cover off on the end of the console with driver door open, will just snap off but careful don\'t brake anythin

then take off the under console bit underneeath the main dash abover your legs when sitting in the car, a few more screws all very visible and easy

then unscrew the screws that hold the main dash speedo cover section on, pop out and there is the cluster with bulbs in little pop out bits !

I will have to give it a go although the car is down at RX Motors having a rebuild so might have to wait a bit
