Hi, i have damaged my rear quarter arch pretty badly to the point where the boot lid will not close  .
What are  my options for fixing this? is replacing the arch an option can it be removed?
Or am i better off getting a panel beater to make the best of it and use filler?

Which side is it mate???
If it closed the boot shut then you would more than likely have shifted the inner arch & strut top, which means a lot more than a pannel beating session!!
If you are after a pannel & it is passengers side,, I have one I could sell you...... £170, but you would have to arrainge collection!!

thanks for the reply, i think ive been lucky, ive got the whole rear subframe off and looked under neath, it all looks fine, the subframe and wish bones took the hit, how do u go about fitting a panel?? how on earth did you get it off?

Its welded on, you will have to cut it off.

Welding job, I had to get the corner on the green car repaired - used a cut from johno! My boot lid shut though.
The bodyshop have done a cracking job but told me it proved a bit of pain as the inner skin makes it akward to straigthen, and when they cut the dented panel off it proved time consuming to sort out and repair becuase of the complex inner panel.

the boot lid wont shut because it been pushed up... how much labour are you talking?

TonyC

Hard to say as they did the rear quarter, painted, and painted a rear bumper, bonnet and rear bumper (see avatar for before pick!). Price was a special \'race car stickers and cash\' price.

I know a diffrent bodyshop estimated it at £650 for repair and paint, not including the panel itself). That was a proper VAT price.
